"Do you want to build a–”
This month we have an exhibition by San Francisco based painter Serge Gay Jr., who has created a body of paintings informed by the music that inspires him.
Here’s a look at his David Bowie painting, check out the rest of the show online - http://spoke-art.myshopify.com/collections/gold-solo-show-from-serge-gay-jr
we all have this one character death that we will never be over and fine with
I wish Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk would collaborate with Erik Kripke and produce a Supernatural/American Horror Story episode where Sam and Dean are transported/venture into hell and stumble into Misty Day's personal own. They find her reliving the exact traumatic and horrific dissection she was forced to endure for all eternity. Dean knocks out the teacher (“Mr. Kingery”) in front of all the children as Sam observes Misty resurge the frog. She falters, so used to repeating the same acts over and over for so long. Misty looks up, with tears streaming from her eyes. “Thank you” she says, “I've been doin that for so long…..”. She closes her eyes and sobs as she reveals, “each cut was always worse than the last…every time I did it I wish'd I'd stop…but I couldn't…”. Sam comforts her as she begins to grieve and Dean looks on, in silence, remembering his own demonic torment. As the Winchesters decide what to do next, she recounts her history, telling them about how she discovered her powers, how she had died before, and how she failed in the competition for the title of “Supreme”. Castiel, after searching for them for 6 months, discovers their location thanks to some help from Nan who (with permission from Papa Legba because he had heard of the two and wishes to have “no trouble from the Winchesters” ). As the group reunites, Sam and Dean implore Castiel to save the swamp witch. At first, he rejects the idea, claiming “she is not my burden, it is of her own doing that she suffers”. Misty, noticing the angel has a cut across his cheek, walks up to him and gently places her palm over the incision, She closes her eyes and then opens them, She lifts her hand and the wound has disappeared. “I’m grateful….for this… for the small time of peace that you have all brought me”, Misty states. “I accept you must leave” she sobs, “but thank you…” she begins to hum “Rhiannon” by Stevie Nicks as she closes her eyes and begins to twirl with her shawl. Castiel looks regretfully at her and the two brothers. He takes their hands and informs them that they are now about to leave. The angel turns around as he hears the captivating sound of Misty’s song. Changing his mind, he brings her to the circle and tells the group to “prepare to exit perdition”. The group is suddenly returned back to the physical world. Dean and Sam are relieved that their friend was able to escape the underworld but their joy is short-lived as they realize Misty Day’s body died from the attempt of the Descensum wonder. A reaper appears and informs the witch that it’s time for her to move on. Castiel orders the reaper to make sure “this woman is taken cared of or else”, the reaper retorts, “don’t worry! she’s already been through that ordeal, it’s time for an end”. Misty looks at the brothers and hugs both of them. “Thank you” she exclaims as she takes the reapers hands and vanishes. An epilogue scene illustrates how Misty is attending to a variety of beautiful plants in her garden while Stevie Nicks plays on a piano and begins to sing. This is her heaven.
